I will begin this study by saying that I do not intend to offer every verse that is suggested by many to prove that at one time, man was saved by works alone or that he was saved by faith plus works. The reason for that is because, as I hope this study will prove, faith and works are inseparable in […]
INTRODUCTION Most Christians today believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in the heart of each believer. I have questioned that belief for some time. This paper is an attempt to explain why I questioned this view and my conclusions, based, of course, on Scripture. I must say at the outset that both the NIV and […]
This paper quotes the many scriptures that speak of animal sacrifices in the millennium. But we read in Heb. 7:27, “Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for His own sins, and then for the peoples; for this He did once when He offered up Himself”. A similar point […]
From my discussions with Christians who are honestly searching the Word of God, I have realized that many do not really understand exactly what the secret is that had been hid in God. It is with that in mind that I offer this study. Unfortunately, many do not understand the difference between the mystery of Christ and […]
Matt. 25:31-46 records the judgment of nations at the second coming of Christ. Some will “inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matt. 25:34). It is about these that Christ said that the righteous shall enter into eternal life (verse 46). But some will “go away into everlasting punishment” (Matt. 25:46). […]
The questions we will be considering about the Old Testament lo-ammi period are: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE “LO-AMMI”? WHY DID ISRAEL BECOME LO-AMMI? WERE ALL TWELVE TRIBES TAKEN BACK? DID ISRAEL REMAIN LO-AMMI THROUGHOUT THE NEW TESTAMENT? WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE “LO-AMMI”? We read the phrase “lo-ammi” in Hosea 1:9, “Then […]
My prayer is that by listing all the end time “days” in chronological order and explaining why I put them in that order, it might help all of us in our study of God’s Word. 1) the tribulation 2) the sun, moon and stars will be shaken which will be the sign of the coming of the […]
There is some controversy about the meaning of Psalm 110:1. In the KJV it reads, “The Lord (Jehovah) said unto my Lord, ‘Sit Thou at My right hand, Until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool”. It is the Hebrew word translated “my Lord” that is problematic. Most agree that it is “Adoni” and many believe […]
E.W. Bullinger writes the following paragraph about Gehenna in the Companion Bible, Appendix number 131. “This is the transliteration of the Heb. Gai Hinnom, i.e. the Valley of Hinnom or ‘the Valley ‘ of [the sons of] Hinom, where were the fires through which children were passed in the worship of Moloch. In the Old Testament […]
INTRODUCTION It is clear that there are indeed differences in the Gospel accounts of the triumphal entry of Christ into Jerusalem and the events surrounding it. The question is: do those differences require the conclusion that they record different events or, as I believe to be the case, are they additional facts so that by […]
INTRODUCTION I must confess that the first time I heard that “Mystery Babylon” is Jerusalem, my immediate reaction was, “Oh I don’t think so, because God loved Jerusalem. Considering His love for Jerusalem how could His angels rejoice over the destruction of “Mystery Babylon” if that were actually Jerusalem? My thoughts went to Luke 13:34, where we […]
One of the misconceptions concerning the Acts period is that the Law of Moses was not in effect after Christ’s death on the cross, and therefore, believing Israel should not have, or did not observe the law in the Acts period. Those who hold to this view often quote Gal. 3:24-25 and Hebrews 10:18. We […]
I have read in various writings of those who hold the mid-Acts position that the present dispensation began when Paul was converted on the road to Damascus, or when the message of salvation was preached to the Gentiles, or when any number of other events occurred. These and other views as to what constituted a […]
INTRODUCTION Most believe that the Old Testament speaks of Jehovah, whereas, because Jesus Christ was not born until the opening of the New Testament, He is not spoken until the New Testament. However, as this paper will show, Jesus Christ IS Jehovah. In short, this paper will offer the Scriptural evidence which proves that Jesus Christ […]
